Iranian Air Force fighter jets have been equipped with new navigation systems and missiles to conduct operations in all weather and climatic conditions, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force (IRIAF) senior commander has said.
“To boost the combat capability of our planes, we have designed, developed and mounted this equipment onto our fighter jets,” the commander added.
The air force is also seeking to optimise the range and power of the missiles to strengthen itself in confronting enemies’ potential aggressive moves, according to Fars News Agency.
IRIAF Mehrabad Air Base commander General Hamid Reza Godini said special steps had been taken to enhance the range of air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and will soon implement significant changes in the missile systems of fighter jets.
