Lockheed has been awarded a fixed-price contract modification not-to-exceed (NTE) option exercise for the acquisition of a second C-130J-30 aircraft for Israel.

The $76.2m contract also includes exercise of NTE option for planning and advance long lead procurement of aircraft components to support the third C-130J Israeli aircraft.

The undefinitised contract also includes on-development and recurring in-line production modifications for the second aircraft.

The Lockheed C-130J Super Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft used in military, civilian and humanitarian aid operations.

Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in the Marietta, Georgia, US.
