
The Colombian Air Force has received a modified King Air 350C turboprop aircraft from Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) for use as an air ambulance.
The King Air 350C aircraft has been equipped with a cargo door and specially designed modified interior as part of the upgrade.
The aircraft has a maximum operating altitude of 35,000ft, can operate from unimproved and paved runways, and can take off with 3,300ft and land on 2,692ft of runway.
Colombia has purchased King Air 350C aircraft under a foreign military sales agreement with the US Department of Defense.
Colombia has received five King Air 350 aircraft to date, and is expected to receive the sixth aircraft by the end of 2010.
