The US Air Force (USAF) has granted Software Certification approval for the installation of DiSTI’s Replic8 interactive training development application on the standard desktop systems, which are connected to its Global Information Grid.
The approval provides the military personnel with access to the Replic8 tool, thus helping in simplified development of highly interactive level 3 and 4 courseware assets for students.
DiSTI CTO and Cofounder Darren Humphrey said the certification will enable the developers of military training courseware to create content that fills the gaps left by legacy training methodologies.
”One of our top objectives for Replic8 was to ensure published training content was accessible to warfighters. Having a top tier 3D interactive content creation tool is only beneficial if the courseware consumer can access the material,” Humphrey added.
The approval positions Replic8 on the Air Force Evaluated / Approved Products List (AF E/APL) that features products and services which have been approved against the specific security requirements of the US Department of Defense (DoD).
Replic8 is an advanced software solution designed to enable instructional designers, subject matter experts and three dimensional (3D) graphic artists to efficiently develop compelling 3D interactive training content in a quicker time, without requiring computer programming experience.
