The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) will hold a massive joint aerial drill with a regional country in September, IRIAF Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh has said.
Nasirzadeh told FNA that the drills would mark the IRIAF’s first international war game, and is likely to be held in the second half of Shahivar – the Iranian calendar month starting 23 August.
“Holding any war game indicates the force’s prowess and readiness to achieve pre-determined objectives,” he added.
The commander, however, did not reveal the name of the country scheduled to participate in the aerial exercises.
