The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) fighter jets will participate in the Indo-French air combat exercise, Garuda, this month.
During the exercise, to be held between 14 and 25 June 2010 at Istres Air Base, France, the IAF will deploy its six Sukhoi-30 MKIs for the first time.
Other IAF aircraft joining the exercise include three Ilushin-78 flight refueller aircraft, an Ilushin–76 heavy-lift transport aircraft and 230 air warriors.
The French Air Force will field its Mirage 2000 and Rafael aircraft, while the Republic of Singapore Air Force will be participate with its F-16 Block 52 aircraft.
