The Republic of Mali has received two Mi-35M transport/attack helicopters from Russia-based Rostec State Corporation’s Rosoboronexport.
The delivery also included all the equipment necessary for the operation of the two aircraft, which were produced by Russian Helicopters.
Rosoboronexport director general Alexander Mikheev said: “We have shipped two Mi-35 helicopters to Mali as was requested by our Malian partners.
“The Malian Side has been very grateful to us for meeting its request and has also expressed satisfaction with the quality of equipment.
“I am confident that the helicopters will help the nation protect its sovereignty and successfully fight the main challenge of the 21st century, namely, terrorism.”
The Mi-35M is a multi-role attack helicopter that can transport eight fully equipped troops, up to 1,500kg of munitions or other cargos inside a cargo cabin, and up to 2,400kg with an external sling.
