By GlobalDataUnder the collaboration, Terma and Scandinavian Avionics will jointly provide a proposal on the support of F-35 avionics toward the F-35 Program Office, and will invest in depot stand-up capability and seek possibilities to develop the facility in close cooperation with the Danish Ministry of Defence.
Scandinavian Avionics chief executive officer Michael Truelsen said that the company also intends to use its capabilities on other MRO possibilities such as the EH-101 helicopter, MH-60R Seahawk, and C-130 aircraft.
The F-35 Lightning II is a fifth-generation fighter jet, which integrates advanced stealth with fighter speed and agility, and supports fully fused sensor information, network-enabled operations and advanced sustainment.
Equipped with advanced, integrated sensors, the F-35 is a single-seat, single-engine aircraft capable of carrying out a wide range of missions such as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and electronic attack missions, which were traditionally performed by small numbers of specialised aircraft.
