The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.97% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.77% share in November 2021, recording a decrease of 0.59% over the last three-month average share.

Top five apparel companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 31.75% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s apparel industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Amazon posted 76 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a drop of 50.65% over the previous month, followed by ASOS with 25 jobs and a flat growth. Marks and Spencer Group with 15 IT jobs and Asda Stores with 14 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while John Lewis Partnership recorded a decline of 17.65% with 14 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.67%, down by 31.96% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.91% share, registered a decline of 17.39% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.42% share, down 11.43% over October 2021.
