Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group has secured a contract with the Bangladesh Air Force to support the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.
The company has received the contract in accordance with a government-to-government agreement that was entered last year for the acquisition of the former Royal Air Force (RAF) C-130J aircraft by Bangladesh from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).
Under the terms of the current multi-year contract, Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group will be responsible for providing a complete support solution to the Bangladesh Air Force jet.
Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group chief executive officer Alistair McPhee said: “We are delighted to have secured this important contract with the Bangladesh Air Force in close cooperation with the UK MoD’s Defence Equipment Sales Authority.
“Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group has experience in delivering total support solutions to a wide range of C-130 operators and we wish to thank the Bangladesh Air Force for the trust they have shown in our capabilities.”
The scope of the project covers aircraft maintenance and logistics support, including the provision of spare parts and ground support equipment for supporting local capabilities. It also includes other engineering services for the better operation of the aircraft fleet.
