The Bahrain Defence Force has placed a $1.082bn-worth foreign military sale request with the US Government for the upgrade of the F-16 Block 40 fighter aircraft.
The proposed sale covers modernisation of the F-16 Block 40 aircraft to the F-16V in order to strengthen the Royal Bahraini Air Force’s defence capabilities.
Engility Corporation has been awarded a five-year contract worth $49m to support the Kinetic Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Simulation Technology for Advanced Research.
The contract will require Engility to research and develop multi-spectral and multi-modal phenomenology modelling capabilities to enhance the HWIL technology.
The company will also support research, development and transition of the US Air Force (USAF) munitions through the development of integrated guidance simulation.
