The Kuwait Air Force and National Guard will use Thales flight simulators to train Caracal helicopter pilots and crews.
Airbus Helicopters has chosen Thales to provide flight and tactical mission training for the pilots and crews of the Caracal helicopters.
Thales has been tasked with delivering three simulators such as one Reality H Full Flight Mission Simulator (FFMS) as well as two flight procedures and tactical training stations.
The Kuwait forces will network the three systems to perform collective training exercises and prepare their crews for complex missions such as combat search-and-rescue, Thales stated.
The Reality H FFMS will train pilots in normal navigation procedures, instrument flight, handling failures and emergency procedures in a realistic tactical visual environment.
The communication systems, weapons, self-protection solutions and the in-flight refuelling function provided are identical to those of the real helicopter, to ensure pilots are trained in real-life conditions.
