KBR's government services business, KBRwyle, has secured a position on a $950m indefinite quantity / indefinite delivery (IDIQ) contract to provide engineering and construction services for the US Air Force (USAF).
Awarded by the USAF Civil Engineer Center, the multi-award task order contract allows KBRwyle to compete for task orders to provide a range of design, construction and engineering services.
The Worldwide Engineering & Construction (WE&C) contract has a five-year base period and three one-year options.
KBR president and CEO Stuart Bradie said: "This new contract award will provide an opportunity to create synergies resulting from the combination of KBR's ability to successfully execute urgent and compelling tasks in remote and austere environments around the globe and KBRwyle's long-standing service of delivering specialised solutions for US government customers.
"Utilising our global reach capabilities and our ability to uniquely integrate self-sustaining logistics and construction, our portfolio of capabilities has consistently delivered the right results for our US government customers."
KBRwyle has provided mission-critical support to the USAF for more than 60 years, KBR stated.
