Bell Helicopter has delivered eight Bell 412EP helicopters to the Philippine Department of National Defense (DND).
The new helicopters are fully configured and equipped with advanced features, and capable of meeting the DND’s modernisation requirements.
Bell Helicopter Asia Pacific managing director Sameer A. Rehman said: "We are proud to deliver the final of eight Bell 412EP aircraft today, three months ahead of schedule and, as promised, in time for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in November.
"Bell Helicopter has played an important role in the Philippines’ national defence for six decades, and it is a profound privilege to continue this relationship and serve the DND for decades to come."
The helicopters will be used for combat utility operations, including relief efforts, and VIP transportation.
With a cruise speed of 140k and 358nm range, the Bell 412EP offers dual digital automatic flight control system with available IFR option and excellent Category A/JAR OPS 3 capability, and is designed to reliably perform in extreme climates worldwide.

By GlobalDataIn April last year, Bell Helicopter agreed on a $105m purchase agreement with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) for the delivery of the helicopters.
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has been operating derivatives of the Bell UH-1H helicopters since the late 1960s, and received their first two Bell 412s in 1994.
In March, Bell Helicopter received a contract to supply Bell 407GX multi-role helicopters to the Mexican Air Force (FAM).
Under the contract, the company will deliver 15 Bell 407GX helicopters, which will be configured for a variety of parapublic missions.
