Camber has received a $135m contract from General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) to assist in the Government’s transition from ‘live’ training to realistic simulation environments.
Awarded on behalf of the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) and the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Community, the contract will cover the delivery of specialised M&S / Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) operational, technical, and innovative support to assist the government’s effort.
Camber president and CEO Jim Brabston said: "We are excited and prepared to support the Air Force in this important initiative to transition to, and sustain a fully integrated LVC environment in support of its operational training requirements.
"We have assembled a talented team of M&S domain experts to address the Air Force’s modelling and simulation mission needs and we look forward to continuing to support the evolving LVC community with tested and innovative M&S techniques and capabilities."
Camber, with a focus on modelling and simulation, offers integrated training solutions and support, Instructional Systems Design (ISD), LVC and ‘Serious Gaming’.
In June last year, Camber signed a master service agreement (MSA) with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) to be the lead systems and business integrator for the Lone Star Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center (LSUASC) Test Site.
