The UK Government has announced an additional £10m emergency humanitarian relief package for displaced Iraqi civilians, primarily women and children.
Announced by the UK International Development Secretary Justine Greening during a visit to northern Iraq, the package includes £6.5m of funding to enable non-governmental organisations (NGOs) continue the provision of shelter, food and clean water to Iraqi refugees.

The package provides £2m to enable the rapid delivery of emergency supplies, £640,000 for vital logistics and coordination work to ensure aid is being delivered to the needy, £260,000 for a humanitarian worker safety hub in Iraq, and £500,000 for the International Committee of the Red Cross.
In addition, the UK is giving £100,000 to enable the International Humanitarian Partnership (IHP) to establish a camp for 20,000 displaced people near Dahuk.
Greening said: "I am particularly concerned about increasing reports of human trafficking and violence against women, as well as children suffering terrible trauma.
"Britain has been quick to respond and I have seen for myself how life-saving supplies of food, water and shelter are making a real difference to people who have been left with nothing. But we can do more, and will do more.

The aid announcement coincides with the arrival of additional two British flights carrying tents, reusable water containers and solar lanterns capable of recharging mobile phones in northern Iraq.
Since the start of the Iraq crisis, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) has flown eight aid flights, delivering 62t of food, 1,574 tents, 8,500 kitchen sets and 840 water filtration sets.
The UK Royal Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft has also made seven relief air drops over Mount Sinjar.
Elsewhere in Iraq, US military fighter, attack and remotely piloted aircraft are continuing airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS) militants in the vicinity of Irbil and the Mosul Dam.
Since June, IS terrorists have captured several cities and critical installations in northern Iraq and neighbouring Syria.
