Norway-based manufacturing company Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace has received two new orders for deliveries of structural components for the F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter programme.

With a total value of NOK320m ($40.42m), the orders will support the continuation of current development and cover delivery of parts.

Under the terms of the deals, Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace will be responsible for providing the air-to-air pylons to Marvin Engineering for low-rate initial production phase (LRIP) 10.

The second order will see the supply of centre fuselage parts to Northrop Grumman for LRIP 11.

Northrop Grumman is a principal partner of the Lockheed Martin-led F-35 industry team and is responsible for the production of the centre fuselage for all three F-35 variants.
