Elbit Systems’ Brazilian subsidiary Aeroeletronica has been awarded a contract to supply Hermes 450 unmanned aircraft systems (UASs) to the Brazilian Air Force.
The Hermes 450 UAS is designed for homeland security as well as anti-terror missions, and can be equipped with a range of advanced sensors to meet customers’ requirements.
AEL will utilise technological capabilities of its parent company and work with local Brazilian industries.
The project is part of the Brazilian Air Force’s objective to establish independent UAS capabilities for self-reliant operation and development of UAS in Brazil.
