Meggitt has been awarded two contracts by BAE to supply components as part of the Indian Hawk advanced jet trainer programme.
The first contract, valued at £5m, will involve a range of cockpit display equipment and electro-mechanical instruments.
Under the second contract, the company will supply equipment worth £8m, which includes nose and main wheels, brakes and brake control systems, plus spares.
Work on the first contract will be carried out by Meggitt Avionics in Fareham, UK, from February 2012 to August 2014.
Work on the second contract will performed by Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation.
India had placed an order to purchase 57 BAE Hawk advanced jet trainer aircraft in July 2010, of which 40 are for the Indian Air Force and the remaining 17 for the Indian Navy.
