The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded Etegent a phase I small business innovation research (SBIR) grant to build performance models for feature-aided trackers.
The goal of performance modelling is to map knowledge of sensor, environment, and target state to specific target exploitation capability.
Etegent chief technology officer Adam Nolan said tracking objects across multiple complex environments using wide area persistent sensors is an important technical challenge.
The project represents an opportunity for Etegent to expand upon its experience with sensor exploitation for the military and its work in the field of algorithm performance modelling.
