The French and US Air Forces are considering acquiring dual-mode Brimstone missiles used by the UK Royal Air Force (RAF), RAF air vice marshall Baz North has said.
Brimstone is a principal long-range anti-armour missile, upgrades for which allow the weapon to engage static and mobile targets.
The air-to-ground precision attack weapon developed by Boeing / MBDA, is currently fitted on the Tornado GR4/4A and will soon be integrated onto the Harrier GR9 fleet and the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft.
