BAE Systems has been awarded contracts by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to provide support services to guarantee the UK Royal Air Force’s (RAF) Typhoon frontline capability.
The £39m development work will enhance the RAF’s data generation capability. Data about operational threats will be uploaded on the Typhoon’s electronic warfare systems prior to the mission.
The contract will also include providing services to maintain the jet’s ability to operate in all types of environment.
The company is also on a Typhoon availability service (TAS) contract awarded by the MoD to deliver best practice support solutions.
