Raytheon UK has been awarded a four-year continued in-service support contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) for current and legacy Paveway weapon systems.
Under the £10m contract, the company will be responsible for support activities that include configuration management, design support, obsolescence, safety management, spares provision and quality assurance.
UK MoD freefall weapons project team leader Simon Pearce said: “Paveway IV has become … the very best technology for operations with its combat-proven all-weather, day and night capability, as well as its ability to be integrated across legacy and future aircraft.”
The Paveway IV’s capabilities have been proved through the RAF deployment on Operation Herrick in Afghanistan and Operation Ellamy.
