Israel Military Industries (IMI) has begun developing an air-launched manoeuvrable target based on its I-TALD decoy as part of a series of targets designed to simulate enemy aircraft and missiles.
The advanced targets will carry payloads to simulate counter-measure systems, flightglobal.com has reported.
IMI chairman Avner Raz said the targets were being offered to European clients.
“We are evaluating a business plan to establish a subsidiary that will offer target services to clients all over the world,” he said.
Its proprietary I-TALD technology is designed to suppress and divert enemy anti-aircraft batteries by appearing on radar screens as a fighter.
