The US Air Force has awarded a contract to homeland defence products and services company L-3 Communications for the provision of force protection security systems.
Under the contract, the company will provide integrated support and security services including tactics, procedures and technology, area intrusion detection and access control and other capabilities for Department of Defense sites worldwide.
The five-year contract, with a total ceiling value of $495m, has been awarded to multiple contractors.
The work will be performed by the company’s Global Security & Engineering Solutions business unit.
