Brazilian Defence Minister Nelson Jobim said that the process of awarding a contract for the air force’s F-X2 fighter programme will resume in November, after the presidential elections.

Jobim said that no decision has been taken on the programme and the recommendation that the Defence Ministry submit to the president and give priority to the transfer of technology by the vendor.
