The Mexican Air Force has received the new C295 transport aircraft from Airbus Military, which was ordered to support its tactical and logistic transport capabilities.
The multimission multirole C295 is equipped with a medical evacuation kit and a palletised loading system that allows the aircraft to carry up to 9t of bulk cargo.
The new-generation airlifter is capable of short take-off and landing, providing access to even remote locations, while performing tactical and logistic military, civic and humanitarian missions, and environmental surveillance.
The medium-sized tactical airlifter provides robustness, reliability, and the flexibility to carry out troop and paratroops transportation, casual evacuation, communication and logistic duties, and air-dropping abilities.
The twin PW127 turboprop engines powered aircraft is a stretched derivative of the CN-235 transporter, with characteristic high-wing, rear-loader design.
The aircraft is equipped with modular avionics that allow transportation of standard payloads such as cargo pallets and airdrops.
