Alion Science and Technology received a contract from the US Air Force Spectrum Management Office (AFSMO) to analyse the effects of designed and proposed spectrum relocation changes on air force weapons programmes.

Under the $5.4m contract, the company will perform spectrum supervision and analysis, RF spectrum modelling and growth of RF studies.

The work also includes spectrum assessments to establish spectrum location practicability and impact of spectrum repurposing on weapons platforms and systems.

The company will provide an RF spectrum that will support weapons systems such as precision-guided munitions, unmanned aerial systems, radar, notice systems, telemetry, targeting and other subordinate RF systems.

The contract was awarded under a Defense Technical Information Centre’s WSTIAC agreement.
