Commenting on the order, Saab Surveillance business area head Anders Carp said: “The well-renowned BOZ pod has been used on the Tornado for many years.
“This large follow-up order for the enhanced version confirms Saab's capability to meet our customers’ need for state-of-the-art self-protection systems to improve their operational capabilities in hostile environments.”

Designed to counter modern IR-guided threats, dispensing can be carried out forward downwards and sideways in two adjustable directions.
The production of the BOZ-101 EC will be at Saab's sites in Järfälla, Sweden and in Centurion, South Africa.
Deliveries under the order will begin later this year and continue through to 2020.
The BOZ-EC self-protection and countermeasures system has been operational on Tornado aircraft in four nations.
Saab is involved in the production of advanced customised self-protection and counter-measure systems.
The company's products are currently installed on modern fighters and helicopters such as Gripen, F-18, and F-15.
