Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has been contracted to provide helicopter aerial gunnery training for the Swedish Armed Forces.
Under the contract, military personnel will be trained at the Kratos Aircrew Training Center (KATC) in Orlando, Florida.
The KATC with virtual reality and projection aircrew training devices will train warfighters in aerial gunnery, search-and-rescue hoist training, and cargo sling operations.
Using multiple aircrew training devices within the KATC, the trainees will learn techniques and procedures such as basic firing, scanning, situational awareness, crew coordination, target acquisition, and rescue hoist and cargo sling operations in various all-weather environments.
Kratos Training Solutions senior vice-president Jose Diaz said: “Kratos is dedicated to offering the widest range of options and solutions for custom aircrew training services to maximise ROI for our customers and performance outcomes.
“We look forward to having the Swedish Armed Forces continue to advance their mission training and rehearsal requirements locally, in our state-of-the-art Kratos Aircrew Training Center.”
