Leidos has been awarded a contract to provide intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting support to the US Air Force’s (USAF) Air Combat Command (ACC).
Awarded by the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT), the single-award firm fixed-price award features a one-year base performance period, two one-year options, and a maximum potential value of $17m, if the options are exercised.
The task order, issued under the warfighter modelling, simulation, analysis and integration support (WMSA&IS) contract, requires the Leidos team to provide support services to better synchronise multi-discipline ISR, targeting, and computing technologies with air, space and cyberspace force operations.
Leidos group president Larry Hill said, "Leidos is privileged to continue our air combat command relationship focused on strengthening air force targeting and ISR infrastructures, and providing operational unit commanders with relevant, accurate, and timely support across the spectrum of military operations."
Leidos, formerly named Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), also secured two WMSA&IS indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) task orders with a combined potential value of $641.9m, in July 2010.
Awarded along with L-3 Communications, the contracts covered development of critical technologies for modelling and simulation of space and missile defence systems.
