The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has notified Congress of a possible foreign military sale of follow-on support and services to Singapore’s Continental US (CONUS) detachment Peace Carvin V (F-15SG), based at Mountain Home Air Force Base (AFB).
Under the $435m sale, Singapore has also requested 40 GBU-10 Paveway II laser guided bomb units, 40 MXU-651/B Air Foil groups, 84 GBU-12 Paveway II laser guided bomb units, 84 MXU-650/Bs Air Foil groups, 124 MAU-169L/Bs guidance control units, and three P5 combat training system pods, over a five-year period.
The proposed package also includes commercial vehicles, publications and technical documentation, tactics manuals and academic instruction, clothing and individual equipment, execution and support of CONUS exercise deployments, airlift and aerial refuelling, and support equipment, among others.
The package of training and munitions is expected to develop experienced, mission-ready pilots for Singapore to support its Air Force F-15 fleet.
The F-15SG crew pilot proficiency training programme will support professional interaction and enhance operational interoperability with US forces at Mountain Home Air Force Base.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s F-15SG multi-role fighter aircraft is an advanced variant of the US Air Force (USAF) F-15 Eagle aircraft.
The F-15SG fighter features modern avionics and a sophisticated integrated sensor suite consisting of active electronically scanned array radar and a third-generation ‘Sniper’ targeting pod.
The aircraft can carry an M-61A1 20mm Gatling gun, AIM-9X supersonic air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles and laser-guided bombs.
The aircraft is also equipped with a state-of-the-art cockpit and joint helmet mounted cueing system for increased situational awareness, providing enhanced air-to-air and self-defence capabilities.
