TAT Technologies‘ wholly-owned subsidiary Turbochrome has secured a contract from Pratt & Whitney to provide engine overhaul for the Israeli Air Force’s fleet of F-15I and F-16I multirole fighter aircraft.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will provide certain repair services to Pratt & Whitney’s F100 229 engine, parts and components for a period of 15 years.
TAT president and CEO Itsik Maaravi said: "We are proud of this new agreement between Pratt & Whitney and Turbochrome.
"This contract strengthens our relationship with Pratt & Whitney, and our position as provider of products and services to the commercial and military aerospace sectors."
In January, Pratt & Whitney secured a contract to provide full propulsion sustainment support for the Israeli Air Force’s full fleet of F100-PW-229 increased performance engine (IPE) engines, which have a thrust of 129.4kN (29,000lb).
The contract covers provision for material forecasting, item repair management, and provisioning of operational, intermediate and depot-level spare parts for the F100-PW-229 engines.
