The US Missile Defense Agency (MDA), in collaboration with Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDA), has successfully completed a flight test of the Arrow 3 weapons system.
Led by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), in partnership with the Israeli Air Force, the Arrow 3 trial was carried out at a test site in central Israel.
The flight test successfully demonstrated the capability of the interceptor to defend against ballistic missiles outside of the atmosphere.
The test not only supported the operational capabilities of Israel. but also helped enhance the nation’s ability to defend itself against present and future threats.
The US MDA functions as the co-developer of the Arrow 3 system, which forms a significant part of Israel’s four-layered defence array.
The four layers of the defence array are Iron Dome and David’s Sling, and the Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 systems.

In January last year, the Arrow 3 weapons systems were delivered to the Israeli Air Force for operational use.
